Court-Hampton Painting has recently been painting with C2 and has put together this long overdue C2 paints review.

Court-Hampton Painting has been using C2 intermittently for around a decade now so we thought it was about time for this C2 paints review.

In our experience C2 has been a fantastic paint with good coverage and adhesion. The owner of Court-Hampton Painting ( Michael Court-Hampton) heard a rumour when C2 first came out that the company was founded by various paint store employees fed up with inferior paints being pushed on their customers. They wanted to come up with a paint line that didn’t skimp on raw materials, had colour charts with chips made of their paint instead of ink for perfect colour matches, as well as a nice palette. If that rumour is true then it makes sense because C2 hits all the marks.
When Court-Hampton Painting started using C2 paints around a decade ago we started with their ceiling paint. C2 ceiling paint was one of the best on the market back then and is now. It is a dead flat finish ( imperative for ceiling paints so paint roller lap marks don’t show in the light) with impressive coverage.
C2 has an impressive trim paint also.
Our C2 paints review is mostly going to focus on their newest paint C2 Luxe.
We used the C2 Luxe eggshell paint and were quite happy with it. The coverage was amazing ( we even put two coats over a small amount of smoke damaged wall to test it out and it covered wonderfully. This was a small coverage test and we primed the smoke damage afterwards to ensure adhesion and to properly seal the smoke damage). It is apparent that C2 uses the proper amount of raw materials in their paints, you can tell when you are painting with it. We tested it over a previously painted oil based wall for adhesion and it passed the scratch test with flying colours. This is a low VOC paint that has a bit of ammonia like smell to it but is not that noticeable.
Although C2 hasn’t yet made their tint zero VOC and they don’t have the advertising budgets of the other big paint manufacturers it can be a nice choice for painting your home. If you don’t mind low VOC compared to zero VOC, C2 has a wonderful colour palette with the colour book made of actual eggshell paint chips which can eliminate having to buy colour samples and paint them on the wall ( a plus in our books). The paint is durable, easy to  work with and elegant looking on the wall.
The final verdict in our C2 paints review? Thumbs up!
