Painting A Bathroom With Mildew
Court-Hampton Painting has been painting a lot of bathrooms with mildew lately due to customer demand.
Our painters have been painting mildewed bathrooms in Toronto where the cause of the mildew is steam and poor ventalation.
In some cases the drywall must be removed and replaced where the mildew is starting to turn to mould (see picture below).
Our painters must first wash the walls and ceiling to be painted in trisodium phosphate otherwise known as TSP, then remove remaining mildew and cut out damaged drywall where needed.
After plastering our painters prime the entire bathroom before painting with a mildew resistant paint on the ceiling, walls and trim.
We recommend installing a ceiling bathroom fan vented to the outside of your house before our painters paint the bathroom.
